READS LIKE A BOOK
In Reads like a Book I focus on the way in which (non-existent) spaces and places are expressed in text and in books. For example, I’m examining the way in which a book can function as a map for a non-existent world, or how the description of a place can function as a metaphor. By reading the painted descriptions, the viewer imagines the described places, creating a picture of a place that doesn’t physically exist.
