Short Ride in a Fast Machine is an exhibition I made in collaboration with Bart Lunenburg and Caz Egelie, under the pseudonym ‘The Artist’. We built a site-specific installation that examined the conventions of the exhibition space - what does it look like, how are works presented and talked about?

To do so, we created the fictional character of ‘the Artist’. We approached our group exhibition as if it were the first major retrospective exhibition of ‘the Artist’. While walking through the exhibition, the visitor moved through several separate areas, concluding into a space that can be seen as the backstage storage of a museum.
