In Two Rooms, the publication is approached as a building in which words serve as pointers to elsewhere. Annabelle Binnerts places her site-specific spatial approach to language ‘back’ onto the page.

Two Rooms features two spaces with wall paintings that were made during her residency at De Ateliers specifically for this publication and can only be ‘visited’ by unfolding these two ‘rooms’.
The envelope features as an ‘outside’ to the ‘inside’ of the publication. The result combines architectural elements placed in a grid that’s based on the facade of De Ateliers.
